“MIGHTY 100 ENGINEERS”: A Challenge from the “Mighty Seven”
Nashville, Tenn. – The “Mighty 100 Engineers” Endowment Campaign continues to be in full swing. Thus far, seven alumni have expressed their support and commitment by contributing a $1,000.00 or
more seed towards the Endowment Fund. These ‘Mighty Seven Engineers’ challenge all TSU
Engineering Alumni to meet or exceed their monetary commitment. Alumni who have donated gifts of
at least $1,000 thus far are: William A. Lawson, Alexis D. Nunley, David Hightower, Nevin R.
Harton, Charles Flack, and Roosevelt Luster. Joseph Cleveland has made a 'committed pledge’ in
excess of $1,000. Look for their profiles in future newsbriefs and find out how so few have done so
much.
The generosity of a few alumni has made meeting our endowment seed goal a possibility; we need 93
additional alumni to sow a gift of $1000.00 to make it a reality. Contributions can be made in lump sum
payment or in monthly installments. Any monetary gift is accepted; however, alumni must sow a
$1000.00 gift to be recognized as one of the ‘Mighty 100 Engineers’. Alumni wishing to make
committed pledges may do so by e-mail. All contributions must be received by closure of the “Mighty
100 Engineers” campaign, which ends on September 28, 2006. Think, Work, Serve, Support.
All contributions to the TSU Engineering Endowment are tax deductible. Make your checks payable to
the 'TSU National Alumni Association' and on the memo line of your check PLEASE specify
'Engineering Endowment'. Please mail your check to "TSU Engineering Alumni Chapter,
Attn: Marvin Evans, Jr., Treasurer, P.O. Box 17910, Nashville, TN 37203". Committed pledges
should be emailed to mailto: msevans719@bellsouth.net.
