CoETCS FCCF
During our 2009 homecoming meeting, the alumni members of the TSU Engineering Alumni Association reviewed and voted to approve the gift agreement between the TSUEAA and the TSU Foundation to establish the "TSU College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science Facilities Capital Campaign Fund (aka CoETCS FCCF)".
In 2008, our college’s facilities was recently deemed vastly deficient by facilities consultants hired to develop the University’s Facility Master Plan (FMP) (see TSU Master Plan Preferred Alternative.pdf athttp://www.tnstate.edu/VPBF/fmo/Master%20Plan/5.2%20Preferred%20Alternative.pdf and TSU Master Plan Phasing and Implementation Plan.pdf at http://www.tnstate.edu/VPBF/fmo/Master%20Plan/7.1%20Phasing%20and%20Implementation%20Plan.pdf ). The TSUEAA realized that we needed tot come together to help address the facility needs of our college. This process involves a personal financial commitment by alumni to make new CoETCS facilities a reality. For us to garner support from the University, TBR, and other financial sources, your financial contribution is the greatest voice we have for this cause. The primary purpose for the establishment of this fund is for alumni, supporters, and corporations to contribute and to address the facility needs of the college over the next 10 years. All will be able to contribute through ‘naming rights’ (college, building, room, etc.). This fund is being established in accordance to Tennessee Board of Regents “Policy 4:02:05:01 Subject: Naming Buildings and Facilities and Building Plaques” at http://www.tbr.state.tn.us/policies/default.aspx?id=1040&terms=building
On November 6th, 2009, in his last official act as the president of the TSUEAA, Mr. Charles K. Flack signed this agreement with the witness signature of the TSUEAA treasurer, Mr. Marvin S. Evans, Jr. and this document was submited to the TSU Foundation to establish this fund. During that 2009 homecoming meeting and on the following Saturday during homecoming festivities, a petition was circulated to garner signatures of CoETCS alumni who support the establishment of this fund. This petition was delivered to the TSU Foundation with the aforementioned TSUEAA-TSUF FCCF agreement.
The alumni of the TSU College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science supports partnering with the TSU Office of University Relations and Development and the TSU Foundation, to establish and grow this fund to address the long-term facilities of our College.
