#17. Isabelle Revell Ford
Isabelle Revell Ford is a 1982 graduate of Tennessee State University School of Engineering with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. She also earned a MS Degree in Environmental Engineering in 2005.
Isabelle began her career with the Georgia Department of Transportation where she served as a highway safety and design engineer. Isabelle spent the majority of her career in the environmental field with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources; she distinguished herself by serving as a specialist in Corrosion Protection. She also published several articles in trade publications.
Isabelle returned to Nashville in 1999 with her husband. For a brief period she was the vice-president of a weekly newspaper. Currently she is employed as an engineer with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Since returning to Nashville she has developed training modules for Fisk University and Tennessee State University on chemical and adverse healthy effects. She is also certified in lead abatement.
Isabelle was a key leader in organizing the first engineering summit at Tennessee State University. She has been active in community organizations serving as the Technology Chair for Hume Fogg Magnet School. She also was the organizer for the first athletic banquet for the Hume Fogg Magnet School Basketball Program. An active member of Born Again Church and Outreach Ministries, She server on the Christian Education Board and Tennessee State University Collegiate Chapter of My Sisters Keeper.
Isabelle credits the College of Engineering Technology and Computer Science for instilling in her the persistence and belief that anything is possible with hard work. Isabelle also believes The COETCS Alumni Endowment is important because it establish a legacy for many to follow for years to come.
Isabelle is married to James W. Ford, and has a son who is a student athlete at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
