Zachary Wilson

William A. Lawson Zachary Wilson, born 4/30/1958, in Bessemer, AL and a resident of Atlanta, GA. I am member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and received a BS Mechanical Engineering TN State University in 1980. I am presently self-employed, owner of Badcock Furniture Store in McDonough, GA, D&D Pallet Express in Dalton, GA, Wilson & White Business Services, DTZ Enterprises and Taylor Communications Corp.

My past experiences has included: Maintenance Manager, International Paper (Shorewood Packaging); Maintenance Manager, Brown and Williamson Tobacco; Manufacturing Manager, Sommer Metal Craft; Area Operations Manager, Procter and Gamble; Sr. Production Engineer, Mobil Oil; and Reservoir Engineer/Production Engineer, ARCO Oil and Gas.

The importance of the endowment to me is it assures that future Black Engineers have a chance to develop and grow beyond their High School years into a technical career that is rewarding and challenging. It helps to build for the future with solid investment today.
