“MIGHTY 100 ENGINEERS”: PRIDE, POISE, AND PAPER

Nashville, Tenn. – Calling all TSU Engineering Alumni! Catch this vision and replay it in your mind, over and over again......... TSU Homecoming 2006, you are blue with Pride as the band delivers another aristocratic performance, and the football team exists the field at half-time leading Samford University. There are over 35,000 in the crowd, and the lower level of the Coliseum is packed! Half-time commences with "The Mighty 100 Engineers"  (you are one of them) walking out to the 50-yard line crowned with blue hardhats, taking stance mid-field. You stand tall and proud, Poised to unveil the fulfillment of a vision. As the crowd looks on, "The Mighty 100 Engineers" begin to unroll a long, blue banner which reveals, as money falls to the ground, white letters stating "$100,000 Raised to Launch the TSU Engineering Endowment". The crowd begins to roar in support of our accomplishment.  Your face and your big smile are captured on the JumboTron as the announcer states, "Think, Work, Serve, Support. Back your Pride for TSU with Paper; Help establish the engineering alumni endowment for the TSU College of Engineering! Go to WWW.TSUENGRALUMNI.ORG to give.” You then file off the field with regal strides as the band sounds off with “I’m so glad, I go to TSU”! Now. Catch your breath, and reflect on how the generosity of others benefited you and supported your dream to attain an Engineering degree.

This is the vision shared with the TSU Engineering Alumni Association at the 1 st Engineering Alumni Summit held this spring. The TSUEAA is pleased to announce that there is already a “Mighty 7 Engineers” with two others pledging to become 8 and 9. The campaign is currently active and soliciting 91 additional alumni to sow a gift of $1000.00. Alumni wanting to reserve their space mid-field can send their contributions in lump sum or make monthly installments of $250.00. All contributions must be received by closure of the “The Mighty 100 Engineers” campaign, which ends on September 30, 2006.

All contributions to the TSU Engineering Endowment are tax deductible. Make your checks payable to the 'TSU National Alumni Association' and on the memo line of your check PLEASE specify 'Engineering Endowment'.  Please mail your check to " TSU Engineering Alumni Chapter, Attn: Marvin Evans, Jr., Treasurer, P.O.
