president's message
A Message from your TSUEAA President: Welcome to the New TSUEAA Web Site
Greetings Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Friends and Supporters of the TSU College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science (CoETCS) and the TSU Engineering Alumni Association:
Let me formally introduce myself to you. I am Dwan D. Austin, and I have been serving as Vice President of the TSUEAA under our newly elected President, Michael Carn. Unfortunately, constraints on his time are hampering his ability to serve effectively. As a result, Michael has elected to resign from the office of President. He resigned immediately effective April 8, 2010. I will be serving as President during the time remaining. To Michael's credit, he has realized early enough into his tenure the greater needs of the organization and has made the necessary decisions to assure the group's continued success. He has also reassured us that his absence will not affect his financial support of the TSUEAA. We would like to commend Michael for making the best decision for all involved and to thank him for his service to the organization. We wish him well in all of his endeavors!
The change in leadership, however, does not affect the direction and momentum that has been set forth. As you all know, Mr. Charles K. Flack, BSEE '84, is our President Emeritus. He has been actively involved during this transition and lends his support and wise counsel to the leadership. We will continue with the initiatives established and expand the vision with new ones.
We need you to become part of the TSUEAA. We have main ourselve ‘membership friendly’, so no matter where you are in the world, you can become a financially active member in the TSUEAA. Our annual goal is 200 financial members, so please go to www.tsuengralumni.org/membership to become a member today.
We are continuing to improve our TSUEAA web site. Links to the TSU Foundation web site is provided so that you can contribute “on-line” to your TSU College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science (CoETCS) Alumni Endowment and the TSU CoETCS Student Pre-Engineering Readiness Fund (SPERF). Giving to both of the funds on-line, you can immediately receive a receipt for your contribution, and will receive a formal letter thanking you for your contribution from the TSU Foundation! In the meantime, if you want to contribute to your alumni endowment and SPERF, just go to www.tsuengralumni.org/endowment and http://www.tsuengralumni.org/sperf, respectively.
We are doing all we can to reach our fellow alumni. Please join all CoETCS alumni on our social network established on FaceBook at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6597022333 as well as on Big Blue Roundup at http://www.bigblueroundup.com/group/tsuengineeringalumniassociation. You can also connect with TSU CoETCS alumni on LinkedIn at http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=3136240&trk=anet_ug_hm
Let’s do all we can to support our College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science, financially and in service.
In the tradition and spirit of Big Blue;
