TSU ENGINEERING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION GoalS / OBJECTIVES

TSUEAA GOALS

1.To promote the identification and recruitment of potential students to the College of Engineering and Technology (CET).
2. To promote support for the University at large.
3. To boost participation in the National Alumni Association.
4. To foster a networking mechanism for Alumnus in the professional engineering environment.
5. To serve as a bridge between academia and the professional engineering field by providing:
- technical insight, and real—world experiences to current students enrolled in the CET

TSUEAA OBJECTIVES


1. Participate in the Industrial cluster.


2. Increase National Alumni participation and support National Alumni activities.


3. Participate in career fairs, seminars, forums.


4. Identify potential students through participation in high school science fairs, mentoring programs, etc.


5. Increase financial support/commitment on the part of Industry.


6. Sponsor students to participate in the pre-engineering summer program.


7. Sponsor college tours.


8. Provide speakers or technical expertise to the Dean as required.


9. Develop a national job information database.
- Affiliate with a “head hunter.”


10. Provide financial assistance
- Sponsor 1 or 2 students who meet our academic requirements throughout their entire academic career.
- Provide financial assistance to students on an as-needed basis as recommended by the Dean.
- Finance member travel as required to support the University/CET as voted upon by the members.
- Sponsor annual membership networking activities.
